Description of Classes
Basics Aikido Class
Aikido principles and techniques, weapons, and falling. Gain confidence, coordination,
balance, posture, power, relaxation, and grace. Open to all levels.
Advanced Aikido
Taught by master instructor Morihiko Murashige shihan or a senior instructor. Advanced
topics but open to all levels.
Applied Aikido
A unique exploration of applying Aikido techniques and principles to more non-traditional, challenging,
and realistic situations both on and off the mat. Dress in clothing that can be used on the mat and outside, please bring shoes instead of sandals.
Weapons Class
Bokken (wooden sword), jo (staff), and shinai (bamboo sword) practice covering weapons
handling, movement, cutting, and paired exercises (kumitachi and kumijo).
